Description This course is offered as an online (live) virtual class. The curriculum is designed to equip you with the ability to use Japanese in your daily life in Japan and communicate effectively in various situations. Throughout this 5-day course, you will learn to describe things of personal significance, ask for help, talk about the future, etc. Tailored for elementary level students, the course primarily focuses on introducing simple expressions. However, explanations about language structures will also be provided, allowing you to expand and customize your expressions according to your own communication needs. The schedule shares similarities with 'Level 1 Further Steps,' but the difficulty level of the content varies. We will practice using materials and methods suitable for this level. While the class may use English as needed, it is basically conducted in simple Japanese. As a result, for those experiencing such a class for the first time, the class itself may be a challenging experience. Note: This is a combination of lecture and interactive class that simulates face-to-face sessions. In principle, therefore, the students are requested to have their camera on during the class. Active discussion with your classmates is strongly encouraged. Schedule Session 1: Talking about recommended places in your hometown ・Key phrase(s) : 「このみせで、ゆどうふが食べられます」「ゆどうふって何ですか」 ・Items: potential verbs, particle ‘tte’, etc. Session 2: Describing an item by comparing it to similar, more familiar things ・Key Phrase(s): 「サテは、日本のやきとりみたいなたべものです」 ・Items: ‘-mitai’, ‘konna +Noun’, ‘-yori’ , etc. Session 3: Asking for help in various situations ・Key Phrases(s): 「京都までのチケットを買いたいんですけど」 ・Items: ‘-n des kedo.’ (1) Session 4: Inviting a friend to an event ・Key Phrase(s):「えいがのdiscount ticketがあるんですけど、このあとどうですか」 ・Items: ‘-n des kedo.’ (2) Session 5: Talking about your future dreams ・Key Phrases: 「もっと日本語が話せるようになったら、日本のいなかにすんでみたいです」 ・Items: ‘-(yoo ni )naru’, ‘-tara’, ‘-te miru’, etc. Notes: Schedules and content may be subject to change.
