Positioning of NSSC®2120 and NSSC®2351 Corrosion resistance is equal to or better than TP304. SCC resistance is largely superior to TP304. Higher strength leads to thinner and lighter designs. Although initial cost is higher than carbon steel, overall life cycle cost is lower. Corrosion resistance is equal to or better than TP316L. SCC resistance is largely superior to TP316L. As a replacement for TP316L, thinner and lighter designs are available and lifecycle cost can be reduced. The recommended heat input range for NSSC®2120 and NSSC®2351 is wider than generic duplex stainless steel, allowing higher heat-input welding. Higher heat-input welding leads to welding efficiency.
